Dr. John L. Junkins, a Distinguished Professor in the Texas A&M Aerospace Engineering Department, has been awarded the “2007 Alumnus Achievement in Academia Award” by the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science. Dr. Junkins received his M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from UCLA in 1967, where he earned his Ph. D. two years later - with distinction.
“The Alumni Achievement in Academia Award honors UCLA engineering alumni who are full-time faculty members in engineering, either at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science or another university, and who have excelled in their fields as researchers and educators.”
