Jeremy Davis, an Aerospace Engineering graduate student, received the 2009 AIAA Willy Z. Sadeh Graduate Student Award in Space Engineering and Space Sciences at the 47th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit in Orlando, FL January 5-8, 2009. This $5,000 award made each year to graduate students throughout the world and is highly competitive. Jeremy Davis is pursuing a Ph.D. in the Dynamics & Control area and his advisor is Dr. John L. Junkins.
The Sadeh family presents this award, named for Dr. Willy Z. Sadeh, a pioneer in the field of space engineering, to a student specializing in space based research.
Davis’ research topic Optimal Constellation Reconfiguration secured the award.
