There is a new group in Aerospace at Texas A&M. It is Aggie Aerospace Women in Engineering (AAWE). The mission of this new group is to support and encourage women at the Texas A&M Department of Aerospace Engineering through personal and professional networking, and to promote our field of study.
The group is devoted to retaining, supporting, and promoting women in AERO, industrial and local networking, and promoting our school and major.
Various committees within AAWE include Outreach, External Networking, Social, Internal, Funding, and Communications. The students are completing their constitution now, have held elections, and are planning activities. AAWE willl be fully recognized organization at TAMU by Fall 2012.
