We have the finest faculty to educate students in the basics of computation and the fundamentals of research. Get involved. Texas A&M is home to over 800 recognized student organizations in areas such as politics, engineering, visual arts, community service, and sports. Organizations specific to our students are AggieSat, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the Microgravity Project, the Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Student Association (NaNSA), Sigma Gamma Tau (SGT), the Society of Flight Test Engineers (SFTE), and Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS).
Prepare for your future. Look at any of the big aerospace companies around the world you’ll find people there who graduated from Texas A&M's Department of Aerospace Engineering. NASA? Boeing? Lockheed Martin? You bet. But that’s not all.
You'll also find our grads calling the shots in energy, electronics, computer and software companies, and government research laboratories. These folks can tell you how a solid background in dynamics and control, aerodynamics and fluid mechanics, and materials and structures gets you ready to tackle almost any engineering problem.
Pursue your passions outside the classroom. If you'd like a sneak peek at what real aerospace engineering is like, we can help you do that, too. Many Texas A&M aerospace engineering students participate every year in work-study programs that take them into design and production shops for major aerospace companies. Our own researchers also hire students every year to work on their many research projects.
