Mr. Michael (Mike) Beck is currently serving in a headquarters assignment for Lockheed Martin Corporation, working in the Corporate Engineering and Technology organization. As Director, Electronic Systems Technology, Mr. Beck is a member of the Chief Technology Officer\’s staff and serves on the Corporate Research and Technology Board. Mr. Beck\’s responsibilities include management of assets in the corporate IR&D portfolio, Science and Technology investment strategy and oversight, program review and assist, technical policies and procedures governance, and corporate outreach.
Mr. Beck has been with Lockheed Martin heritage companies for over 19 years. He began his career with LTV Aerospace and Defense, which later became Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LM-MFC). Mr. Beck served in a variety of roles at LM-MFC in Grand Prairie, Texas for 17 years supporting the Air Defense, Tactical Missiles, Strike Weapons and Fire Control lines of business. In his final LM-MFC assignment, Mr. Beck was the Program Manager for the Army Future Combat Systems (FCS) Multi-Use Logistics Equipment (MULE) Vehicle\’s Program. In this capacity, Mr. Beck also served as the Deputy for Unmanned Ground Vehicle Programs.
A native of Texas, Mr. Beck received his education in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University, graduating with B.S. and M.S. degrees in 1985 and 1986. He holds his registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in mechanical engineering in the state of Texas. Mr. Beck and his family currently reside in Clifton, Virginia.
