David LundBoeing Phantom Works

David Lund serves as the senior program manager for the Ultra Efficient Energy Systems program in the Advanced Systems Thrust within Boeing Phantom Works. In this role, he is responsible for the technology development of a wide range of electrical systems and thermal management technologies for Boeing-wide product application. He was named to this position in May 2006.
Previously, he served as the Director of the Aerospace Vehicle Systems Institute at TEES where he lead a cooperative of several aerospace companies, DoD and the FAA to improved aerospace vehicle systems. He has held various positions in advanced development and R&D for Boeing working in Materials and Structures, High Speed Configuration Aerodynamics, and Aerodynamics. Prior to working for Boeing, Mr. Lund worked in a small aeronautical consulting business, as AIAA Director of Student Programs and at NASA JSC in Payload Operations, Flight Operations Directorate.
After participating in the NASA Co-op program from 1974-1978, he joined NASA in 1979 after graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
